Hi, I'm Luka. I built Moodie for people who love movies but hate spending half an hour deciding what to watch.

Moodie is a personal movie discovery service that helps you find something to watch based on how you actually feel right now — your mood, who you're watching with, what kind of movie you want, and what you've already seen.

Instead of scrolling through endless catalogs or explaining your taste to an AI chatbot from scratch every time, Moodie keeps your movie history and preferences in one place. The more you use it, the easier it becomes to find something that actually fits the moment.

The idea started very simply. My girlfriend would often ask me to find us a movie for the evening. I tried using AI chatbots, but every conversation started from zero: I had to explain what we'd already watched, what we liked, what we didn't want, how much time we had, and what kind of mood we were in. I wanted something built specifically for that problem, so I made Moodie.

With Moodie, you can:

• get movie recommendations based on your current mood and preferences;
• tell Moodie who you're watching with and what kind of experience you want;
• keep track of movies you've already seen;
• build your personal movie library and save things for later;
• avoid being recommended the same movies you've already watched;
• explore curated Collections created by Moodie and other members;
• create and share your own Collections;
• open shared Collections even without an account.

The goal isn't to give you hundreds of options. It's to reduce the noise and help you get to a movie you actually want to watch.

Moodie is free to use, with optional Moodie Pro features for people who want more from the service. Pro includes additional functionality such as Collections and other premium features as they are introduced.

Signed-in members can also invite friends using a personal referral link. When a friend creates an account through your link and the referral requirements are met, you can receive your first month of Moodie Pro for free.

I'm building Moodie independently and continuing to improve it based on how people actually use it. The subscription is intentionally kept affordable so it can support the cost of running and developing the project.
